“At the 9th weekly march of ‘Yellow Jackets’ on 12 January, Alain Soral, a notorious right-wing extremist and friend of the widely acknowledged antisemite Dieudonné, had called on his website, ‘Equality & Reconciliation’, for a gathering within the context of the 19 January 10th YJ demonstration in Paris,” as monitored by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre.
The Centre had called on French Interior Minister, Christophe Castaner, to ban this neo-Nazi conclave as “a danger to public order.”

“In the ninth week of Saturday demonstrations of the so-called ‘Gilets Jaunes’ (Yellow Jackets, YJ) protests in Paris and across France, there seems to be no end in sight,” claimed Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels.

In a letter to the Geneva-based International Standardization Organization (ISO) Secretary, José Baltar, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, requested to learn the procedure by which the ISO registers the name of member-countries.
"Our members have noted that formulas used in pre-defined country lists prepared for airlines, travel and sales outlets differ from those of ISO"...."For example, FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) appears in ISO despite its identity as claimed by its government is 'Macedonia'," stated Samuels.
The Centre noted that "ISO apparently has no entry for 'Tibetan Chinese Occupation' nor 'Northern Cyprus as Turkish Occupied'. On the other hand, from 2007, ISO's Palestinian entry was 'Palestinian Occupied Territory', while in 2013, this was 'officially changed' to the 'State of Palestine', rather than the more commonly depoliticized formula, 'Palestinian Authority'."
"Please inform us as to the requirements and procedure for such ISO inscriptions, especially in regard to territories without defined borders or sovereignty in highly politicized conflicts."

Since its opening in 1901 for the World Fair, “Le Train Bleu” symbolized a shrine for Parisian and foreign visitors.
Placed within the Gare de Lyon, the terminus for all trains heading South, it was frequented during the German occupation by Nazi officers, Vichy collaborators, the Resistance underground and Jews attempting to flee deportation by hiding around Lyons, Marseilles and Nice under Italian control.
The “Blue Train Restaurant” became a rendezvous in post-war “Gay Paree” and a pilgrimage site for many American army veterans of the Normandy landings.
Last week, a photo hit the press featuring the contemporary staff of “Le Train Bleu,” extending their arm in a “quenelle” – an inverted Hitler salute.
